Terms and Conditions
By signing up to guitar lessons via GoCardless you agree to the following…
Payment
• Guitar lessons are £26.25 per calender month / £8.75 per group lesson
• We ask that payment is made by Direct Debit . We use GoCardless, a collections company to power this.
- Payment is divided equally into 12 monthly instalments of £26.25 ( (3 lessons x 12 payments = 36 lessons) So payments will be collected all year round, including through the School holidays. Payments come out at the end of the month, from the Last day of August to the last day of July.
• We aim to deliver a minimum of 34 lessons throughout a School Year. Often, we go over this number to a maximum of 36 lessons throughout the School year.
• You can keep track of how many lessons have been attended by us throughout the School year at

• Refunds / discounts are issued in July should we not attend 34 - 36 lessons in a School year. Otherwise lesson credits / rescheduled lessons are used to cover our absence and make up for missed lessons.

• Please do not cancel direct debit payments before speaking to us first.
(Because we may be ahead /owed for lessons we have attended)
• We reserve the right to cancel guitar lessons indefinitely if direct debits are cancelled without correspondence/notification first.
• You're free to cancel any time if your child wishes to discontinue but please talk to us first We may owe you a lesson payment / you may owe us a lesson payment.
Absences
• If we are absent one week, we apologise and will notify the School, Parents / Carers beforehand by email
• We will attempt to reschedule a lesson, if we feel we will fall behind on meeting our minimum requirement of 34 lessons. (note - there are 39 weeks in a School year - so there will be flexibility with lesson schedules)
•We appreciate empathy and would prefer not to receive complaint emails over a missed lesson. (there's always a very valid reason for absence)
•If your child is absent, yet we attend the lesson, we cannot issue a refund or issue a lesson credit.
•If your child's absence spans more than 3 continuous lessons then speak to us and we will aim to offer lessons credit(s) or pause the direct debit.
•If your child is absent due to an off site, class school trip then we will reschedule the lesson.
•If your child is absent due to an annual whole class event such as sports day or a School play then we will reschedule the lesson.
• If your child is voluntarily absent where they have a choice in whether to attend a guitar lesson or not , we will not issue a refund. Instances such as:
School volunteer role / Sports day supporting role / School council meeting / Other clubs / Extra Curricular activities
School Closures
School closures (throughout the year)
• When School closures occur ie bad weather, flooding, snow, health emergencies, lack of heating, lack of electricity/gas, lack of water, teachers strikes / headteacher’s strikes. We will reschedule or deliver recorded video lessons (15-20 minutes long) and these will count as part of the lesson count.
Refunds
At the end of the Academic year.. You will be notified if you’re entitled to a refund, Should the minimum lesson requirement not be met/ match with the direct debits.
