Welcome to ‘My First Guitar Book’

This book is ideal for beginners of both the electric and acoustic guitar. The book is set out into bitesize stages of learning and will take the reader from being a complete beginner to a confident player.

Riffs and Chords
Throughout this book I’ve tried to make the journey of playing short, one string riffs to longer, multi string riffs, a seamless one. Likewise, there’s a similar progression of forming simple chords into full chords, with all sorts of tips and techniques included along the way!

Plectrum Grades
The book is divided into sections - ie plectrum grades - which my students find fun and rewarding. (Think karate belts but for the guitar!) Along the way there are challenges such as timer challenges, blindfold challenges and much much more!
